Pre-school

Our focus is on providing a stimulating environment that promotes the pre-scholar’s curiosity and eagerness to tackle a complex world of human relationships. The pre-school curriculum is a hands-on, theme based program that allows children to make choices and be successful. The pre-school class room resolves around many interest areas: language and literacy art, blocks and dramatic play, fine/gross motor skills, library, manipulative, mathematics and science, music, movement and sensory activities.

Children primarily learn through play, particularly when they feel safe and secure in a supportive environment. ‘Play’ should not mean that children are not stretched and challenged or that they may not take an interest in early reading, writing and numeracy skills. Planning will take into account the needs of individual children; every child matters.
